bug zappers

This has to be the dumbest question of all time but here it goes...

 

I bought a bug zapper light more then a year ago for when I went camping.. I want to hook it up agian but Its going to rain off and on the next few days.. I was dumb and didnt keep the directions.. Can I leave it pluged in while out in the rain? I mean can I go to bed and not worry about if its going to rain or not while I am sleeping?

Sure leave it plugged in. If the outlet is a GFCI, the power will trip automatically if there is a powersurge. If not, you might want to unplug it. Now I did not stay at a Holiday Inn last night, so I could be wrong, but it sounds good.

Yeah, leaving it plugged in should be fine.

 

But I stopped using mine when I became convinced that it was doing more harm than good. The moths that got zapped would have been able to eat up a whole lot of other bugs.

I dont think moths eat bugs...or at least according to wikipedia they dont.....

I bought one of these several years ago, and it works great. Just don't let your drunken friends get ahold of it....
