Josh Wilson isn't good, but I don't think him getting owned by Jaime Garcia is the reason. Jaime Garcia is a good pitcher.

Not a pitcher who should make anyone look overmatched like that

Based on what? His K/9 of 7.45?

Or the fact he's pitched like crap tonight
Are you being serious? Garcia is a pretty good pitcher, though he's usually better at home. If Cliff Lee pitched like crap one night but made someone look foolish, would you say the same thing?

How many bright red signs do you need to make a pitching change?
And an easy call double switch. Put Lopez in at 2B in the 9 hole and Saito to 8th. Saito finishes 6th and gets the 7th.
I don't think Saito is allowed to pitch more than 1 inning at a time. Not kidding.

What the H?!?!?!

I watched a recorded Jeopardy starting in the top of the 5th. I came back to the top of the 6th. Rock and Brian were talking about a Yuni HR. I looked at the score and just about fell out of my chair.

Got the call but what made them think Marcum was the best plan? The 6 runs? The 90+ pitches in the extreme humidity?
Yeah, just because the results were favorable doesn't mean the process was correct.

If a pitcher's missed his spots and was nearing the end,I'd say the same thing. He didn't look like he belongs in the League, which he doesn't. Wilson shouldn't have been out there when you have even marginally better options on the bench

Yeah, I'm not sure what RR saw in Marcum to let him hang. Ultimately, it worked out, but I can't say that it was 'the right call'. He looked absolutely gassed in those last few at bats.

I agree Wilson shouldn't be on the team but your reasoning (that he struck out against Jaime Garcia) is all wrong.

I'm thinking that was the biggest hit of Yuniesky Betancourt's career. I can't imagine he has ever played in bigger games than these.

Now here's a chance for Roenicke to double switch. Put Plush in CF and the pitcher in the 2 spot. I'd much rather have Plush for defense the last three innings. Let's if Ron can figure that out.

My thought bubble is picturing the roof and panels opening and closing constantly, and faster than what's actually possible, for the rest of the series. Like a carnival fun house. Add that to your list of grievances LaRusa.

got to give Roenicke credit for getting Wilson out of there and putting Nyjer in CF
