I think McGehee's success as of late has come from him taking pitches and trying to get on base and dumping the ball in right field. Over-swinging on the first two pitches put him in that situation... but he has to try and be the hero there.

All he has to do is get a hit not try to hit a head high fastball out of the park.

Honestly, I've wanted Yuni to flip in the order with Casey for awhile now. At this point he's a better option.
So is Lucroy.
Except that Roenicke has Lucroy entrenched in the 8 hole.
Well he's the catcher. Obviously the catcher bats 8th. Why would you have your catcher bat anywhere else?

That's what's so puzzling. Poke it to right and score 2 and he would be a hero. Why did he think we needed a grand slam? Rhetorical question there....

Yeah I guess plating two on a dump into right field isn't good enough when the bases are loaded.

McGehee was hot for like three games yet somehow he was proclaimed as back. The guy is freakin awful this year and I don't get how DM doesn't realize this.

KRod on the other hand is filthy.

And Hairston, Gamel, and Taylor Green, and a 55 year old Robin Yount & Paul Molitor and even Zack Greinke

Taylor Green currently has a 1.005 OPS with a .333 BA

DFA Doug Melvin

Yea, but rookies can't hit and/or can't deal with the pressure of a pennant race. Just ask Posey.

Glad I was wrong...which I often am
Hah! Nice.

To be fair I'm nervous every time Rodriguez pitches. There's always that token baserunner before he can start mowing guys down, one of these times he's not going to strand 'em.

I've only been able to catch bits and pieces of the game because of family visiting but everytime I walk back in room to catch the game I hear Mitch Williams say something idiotic. I can't imagine how much comedic gold I am missing unless I have just been "lucky" to catch his insights.

Casey must have heard Mitch's 96% of outs are on balls the way he sat back and watched that pitch down Main Street.

I thought it was that Mat Gamel struggled in the tiny amount of at-bats we gave him so therefore Taylor Green will struggle too.

Still waiting for Hairston to do something to earn the love that he gets around here.

We just love him more then the rest of our options. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

True, and he is way down the scale of veteran grit.
