Noted this on the minor league forum, but will post here for any potential further discussion:

Brewers have signed 28-year-old LHP Aaron Laffey (153 big league games) to a minor league contract. Formal placement is pending, but likely AAA Nashville in lieu of an also-pending formal DL placement of Hiram Burgos.

Tweet from Brewers Player Development staff

Kentrail Davis' promotion to AAA will likely backfill a player to be called up today by the Brewers.

Potential replacement for Mike Gonzalez when he's traded?

Can he play first?

Everyone can be a first baseman on the 2013 Milwaukee Brewers! Only requirement is to never have played the position.

Ha, that's right. I actually meant this post for the Owings thread, put it on this one by mistake, but probably still applies here.
