    Minor league stats look bad but finished with a 900 OPS MLB season still. Could be productive as a soft side platoon.

    At least there is one game three tonight. With baseball, after the Brewers I just look for the entertainment aspect and the more games tonight the better it would have been but alas we only get one. I think Phillies/Dodgers is better tv so hoping for a Phillies win.

    Logan Henderson will get the most votes of any Brewer and maybe doesn't finish top 5. I imagine down the road people will wonder why he received so few votes in hindsight, especially if he continues his success in the playoffs.

    Agree with this. Patrick, Yelich, Frelick, they are all going to be on the playoff roster. People can have their opinion of who should be on the roster but there is very little question on who will be on the roster.

    Hopefully a sequel to Just a Bit Outside and one of those times the sequel is better than the original.

    Or even better call up a guy that can play SS instead of Lockeidge. Could be a career minor leaguer

    Probbly the case, if they are going to recall Richardson might as well have him pitch some innings before the DFA. It is kind of odd that the Brewers listed Wilson as the probable starter and didn't activate him, could have just left it at TBA until everything was finalized.

    Vlad isn't really wrong but also shows why the MLB system is potentially broken and perhaps looking at a lockout. The Brewers still have Yelich for a couple more years but do seem to realize that isn't the way to go anymore. Don't sign these guys long term(Burnes/Adames) on the back end instead do it on the front end and keep the players during their prime(Chourio/Pratt/Lara). Still can bust but the total dollars at risk isn't as much and there are usually outs in the later years. The large market teams are still throwing money away with these long term deals, not sure if they will ever have the discipline and self control to stop agreeing to these contracts. The Dodgers and Padres have numerous contracts where the player is paid off of previous performance. I don't know if I would classify the Blue Jays as small market but there are teams that still do pay their franchise player above their performance and with all of the data out there the teams must know they are paying for past performance. The small market Guardians for example will be overpaying Jose Ramirez for the next six years because of his past performance but many would consider this a hometown discount even though he is being paid for past performance. Even the Brewers will feel the pressure to sign players like Contreras and Turang to bad deals if they win it all

    Defense should be fine for this one and an easy Packers victory even with their issues.

    Good to see the demand is high and it is convenient to have the games during the weekend. With that said there should still be opportunity if somebody wants to go, especially if it conflicts with the Packers game for Game 2.

    Chad Patrick has proven reliable in the playoffs and not something Murphy is going to forget. I imagine he gets used quite a bit in the playoffs.

    Shouldn't be but it is, kills the bullpen since others can't seem to do the job that Stalling does which is eat innings during low leverage situations. Plus they can't get two innings out of many of their starters. When you find a guy that can fill a role keep him around. No reason to bring up another guy that fails at that role.

    Not a fan of optioning Stallings as he was a guy they could rely on to finish up games and be effective during low leverage outings. Now he can't come back up the rest of the season unless there is an injury.

    The Brewers basically bought him from the Astros by taking on Lance McCullers for a short time and paying some of his salary.

    The AI in that entire video is horrendous, thankfully Brewerfanatic has Jack and Spencer instead of that garbage.

    I agree the NLDS has become old news and not as exciting but I don't think it speaks to overall attendance. they won't quite reach 2018 levels but almost if the extra Sunday game they lost is taken into consideration they will end up over 2.8 million. This will be by far the highest attendance since COVID. Maybe higher end prices are not there anymore but demand for tickets is still there.

    It kind of depends, Cubs-Brewers in the the NLDS will not be lower than ever and that is still the most likely scenario at this point.

    Wood is a little older but can he stick at catcher? Could certainly use another catcher in the next year or two and he sure had a power spike this year to go along with the on base that has always been there. Rule 5 guy.

    They are not wrong, the possible benefit of using Harrison in the playoffs or even considering using him in the playoff far outweighed a loss here which is basically nothing. Now they know not to use in the playoffs, which can be the difference between advancing to the next round or not.

    There isn't a spot if they go with 12 pitchers but teams do go with 13 pitchers especially the championship and Worls Series round and if that is the case there is a spot to take.

    He had a pretty bad game the last time he pitched, couldn't find the strike zone and almost cost them the game and likely the division if the Guardians didn't come back in the 9th.
