  1. I agree with this. Throwing Harrison/May/Miz/Henderson against the Cubs. Maybe an outside shot they use Gasser on his bullpen day today because of the Braves lefites.
  2. They won a couple of games from the first place Astros last weekend, they should put up a pretty good fight at home. Boyd has been stinking it up as well lately
  3. Would have like to have seen Mitchell today, he has been swinging the bat well recently and hitting lefties, obviously Sale is a tough lefty though.
  4. The Brewers are not going to accomadate a Packers Pre Season game in Denver,
  5. Failed to mention the fine outing for Bryse Wilson who knew all along that Joey was a generational player.
  6. This is the last non Cubs weekday game home game left this year. I know this because I have some ticket vouchers I was looking at redeeming and just realized that won't be happening. I always enjoyed going to weekday games in September, kind of bummed.
  7. Year over year there is certainly no regression and even better defensively. Maybe his regression from April when he was a potential MVP. However, he was at that level again in July before struggling thus far in August. Ultimately though I can't imagine outsiders view him as a player that regressed and has lower market value.
  8. It is the most likely scenario, neither of Fischer/Burke are going to be the opening day starter in 2027. Looking at paying Vaughn or Bauers in 2027 but highly unlikely both will be gone.
  9. Very late to this but that HR by Yelich was pretty big at the time as it had the makings of a game where the Brewers let their opponent hange around, fortunately things escalated quickly for the Brewers. Very odd that Wilson had a couple of lefties warming and still didn't make the change against Yelich. It's not like Murphy has shown he is willing to sub in Vaughn for Yelich during a pinch hit opportunities.
  10. Vaughn has shown no indication he can produce like Bauers has this year since he is basically a platoon bat, of course Bauers gave no indication that he could produce like Bauers produced this year.
  11. This is one area why the playoffs could potentially end differently this year. Last year it was Freddy Peralta as a starter, Miz pitching bulk innings and trying to fill out 9 innings for every other game in the playoffs. This year they have real starters that can pitch quality innings and don't have to lean so heavily on Chad Patrick, Aaron Ashby and Jared Koenig(how soon we forget).
  12. Deserves another bump after Bauers performance yesterday. Really astonsihing the year he is having. I would have never believed he could hit LHP consistently but his overall slash line is better against LHP than RHP this season. I don't think he takes a short term deal after this type of season but give him the qualifying offer and hope he takes a one year deal.
  13. Same goal today as when the series started Thursday, win 3 of 4 to win this series and the season series. 3 game swing here, be up by 1 game over the Dodgers or up by 4 after this game.
  14. I guess I don't understand the trade deadline. I thought if you were in the majors at any point during the season you couldn't be traded after the deadline. Last weekend playing for the Athletics and this weekend the Brewers.
  15. So he was okay to pitch when warming up last night? What is going on here?
  16. Leonard would make sense, would rather have him than Bae.
  17. Going to bed after that soul crushing inning to be down 4-2, I would have to say that was the most unexpectedly delightful win to wake up to ever
  18. I'll try to bring the positivity back as well, win 3 of 4 and the Brewers win the season series and the tie breaker advantage against the Dodgers.
  19. With this stretch of games they needed to option a pitcher, bring up another reliever until that spot comes up again, bring up Crow for one start and option for another reliever. If they have starting pitching depth then use it, bad roster management that Crow didn't start one game during a 17 game stretch when they are trying to go with a 6 man rotation.
  20. Yeah, getting Skubal does nothing in this run of poor play. Strictly on the offense.
  21. It makes sense to look at the Wild Card standings since the Brewers now have such a small lead for the division, only the Astros have a smaller leader in MLB. Good to know they are pretty much locked into the 4 seed if it comes to that.
  22. Hey we may get to witness both in the same game in the not too distant future. Something to look forward to.
  23. First and third with no outs in the 11th and can't score. Can't stand Hamilton, no reason he should be so aggressive at the plate in that situation and Ortiz was just as awful. If the offense has any competence they win this series and instead get swept. At least May did what he was traded for to do.
  24. It doesn't make sense but the Brewers need offense now so if Ortiz produces keep on playing him at 3B and sacrifice the defense.
