  1. Like a very bad fireworks show that nobody could see because it was sunny.
  2. McGee can't be feeling great, Brewers prefer he be DFA instead of just transfering Lockridge to the 60 day IL. Also, don't understand why an argument can't be made Rom is better than Wilson as Wilson is pretty horrible.
  3. That's the the thing, he isn't but Murphy has put him down n position to succeed. People complain but Murphy actually might know what he is doing.
  4. Not much good about this game, give credit to Stallings for a couple of quality innings, make it tough on the Brewers to send him back down.
  5. Yes, please IL Harrison. They have Henderson and Crow coming back to pick up innings in the meantime and Gasser has proven himself lately.
  6. If it was against a real relief pitcher like Zimmerman trying to fight to stay in the big leagues then year but it was a joke that guy pitched for two innings throwing 30.
  7. It is a head scratcher, everybody knew the Cardinals had an opener with Zimmerman to follow. It is a really bad look not to let Vaughn face lefties.
  8. Got the Perkins part correct, they don't need to make room on the 40 man since Lara was added when he signed the contract.
  9. Will be interesting to see what the Brewers do with a Hamilton IL stint, would make sense with the All Star Game coming up to give him an extended stay off and ready to go after the break. Jett Williams would appear to be the choice but also Leonard, but neither would provide a lefty platoon bat that Hamilton provided. Since Jett has to be added to the 40 man after the season anyway, would just go with him and 60 day IL Lockridge since he has already been out 60 days. Hopefully he can stay hot like he currently is in the minors.
  10. Woodruff doesn't need to play the rest of the season, needs to be effective in the playoffs. Nice that he is effective now but doesn't matter if not pitching in October
  11. They are carrying a $7 million dollar 1B platoon, it isn't much different. When they tender Vaughn there isn't really pressure to trade him but they do like to trade players on the final year of a deal. It ultimately results in an almost zero chance of a non tender.
  12. I know you like to non tender guys but in reality not likely going to happen. They tendered Hunter Renfroe and traded him. If the Brewers don't want to pay Vaughn they will tender and trade him.
  13. Obviously great game from Mitchell, so many people have doubted him even saying he would be non tendered. Good on the Brewers sticking with him and ignoring all the noise.
  14. Coming into the season Ashby had 11 career wins, which started in 2021. He has doubled his career win total a little over halfway through the season.
  15. The Brewers won't take on long term contracts, don't see that ever happening.
  16. The Brewers gave a journeyman 30 year old the strong side platoon this past season and they need somebody next season so wouldn't count out Black yet.
  17. He has had a great June, by far his best month in his career.
  18. I imagine Chourio plays long enough to get HOF stats and his best years will be as a Brewer so not Yount level but go in as a Brewer.
  19. Really miss DL Hall, at least he could pitch the final three innings when leading by a few runs. The Brewers must really dislike what they have seen of Koenig with the filler relief pitchers the Brewers have had lately, now they have to call him up against the Cubs. Back to Nashville for Yoho
  20. More like they want his stats to look good and convince somebody in the off season he is more than a platoon bat when they trade him.
  21. There may be some that think that Sproat doesn't amount to anything but I don't think that is the majority. In my opinion he has performed the worst out of Gasser/Drohan/Sproat. I'm all for a six man rotation but Murphy said it is going to 5 and even after last night I would have Sproat as the odd man out for now. It is time to see what we have in Gasser.
  22. If Murphy is really being honest about a 5 man rotation I wonder if Sproat gets optioned after the game as I would thinkg Koenig's rehab assignment is nearing an end.
  23. Tigers have played well in June, including sweeps of the Rays and White Sox. They are hanging around now in a weak division so think it will be last minute if they trade him.
  24. Absolutely, with no challenges he can't be stuck holding his bat with the bases called out on strikes.
  25. Probably but was too close and don't blame him for that.
