Brewers begin DL placements

Brewers placed OF Rymer Liriano, LHP Sean Nolin & Rule 5 RHP Zack Jones on 15-day DL retro to 3/25 today.

Of course, not to say any of those three Brewers will be back when eligible in ten days. If necessary, they could be shifted to 60-day DL.

Brewers still need to add vets Boyer & Capuano to 40-man; could free up spots by placing RHP Yhonathan Barrios & Will Smith on 60-day DL.

Smith is a guarantee for the 60 day, right? His best case scenario puts him ready for a rehab assignment about a week before he's eligible to be activated. I haven't seen any sort of update on Barrios other than "he's hurt" which probably isn't a good sign.

I'm imagining either very small type on Monday, to fit all the "Brewers Injury Report" names on one screen, or a scroll. :(
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Liriano isn't going on the 60 day? I would put him there just to keep his roster spot for one of the other OF for now, and give him time to work through any skittishness in the minors.

There's no rush to put a player on the 60 day DL until the roster spot is needed. That could be anywhere between today several weeks from now.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
