Wow this probably deserves it's own thread but 29th round pick Donny Everett has passed away. He drown in a lake. He was only 19 and had the world in front of him.

Wow that was a 1st round talent who was unsignable with his commitment. Quick search and it comes with him turning down reportedly 2.5mil from other teams so to play with Vandy.

According to ESPN...he was asking for his friends to help him and they thought he was joking. Divers found him just 15 feet from shore. Sad.

Best wishes to Donny's family. The passing of of 30th round pick Charlie Donovan in November makes this especially sad.

Oh my, very sad to see this. Thus was the first I saw of it. I absolutely remember Everett, as I'm sure many of you do, in the run up to last year's draft. He had a rocket arm and was throwing upper 90s.
