sweet new features for mlb gameday

got the cubs astros game on gameday and it looks like it has been vamped up since i had it on last.

 

now for each pitch we get the speed, break, and pFX (i am assuming this is the horizontal break but not familiar with this term).

I believe these features have been out there for a while, and tap into tracking equipment at specific stadiums, so if the game is at a stadium that has the capabilities then you see it on Gameday.

 

MP doesn't, so most of our games are in the plain-er version of Gameday.

that would be why i haven't seem them before never had gameday on the cubs. I thought it was something new after the break.

These features actually aren't new, but they were originally only available at certain stadiums (Braves, White Sox, Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Mariners, Rangers, and Blue Jays). It's been around since late last season, but we've just had fairly limited exposure to it. Although, it's supposed to be in all 30 team parks by the end of the season, and it appears that the Cubs have gotten it now.

I first saw it when the Brewers played in LA. It's a pretty cool feature to give away for free.
