Woodruff looking pretty sharp so far.

Yes he is. He didn't give up many runs in other starts but his command wasn't good......looks more relaxed tonight so far.

They mentioned on the broadcast that he had some stuff he was working on in the minors when he was sent down. Look like that option time did him good.

Just out of curiosity, would Murphy jumping over Sogard's head count as some sort of interference if Kendrick tried to score and Sogard couldn't throw home?

What just happened? How did kendrick not score with murphy trying to get to 2nd?

Murphy tried to "catch us sleeping" with nobody on second but 2 guys not too far away. Villar lobbed it in and sogard easily beat murphy to the bag.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Nice double by Thames and he's in scoring position, but wish he was a bit faster to get to 3rd there when the ball trickled to Zimmerman. Z can't throw worth a crap and Thames' momentum might have allowed him to get into 3rd easily. Ah well.

I mean he is a first baseman.

Rockies down 3-0 in the first.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Wow, when is the last time the Brewers have caught a break like that where a dribbler through the infield scores a runner from 1st?

Got a lead now! More runs!

Just have to say that at this point ... Scherzer is out of the game, its the 6th inning, and the Brewers are winning. Crucial to hang on and win a game that you would have kind of figured for an L with Scherzer starting. Cant lose this one now.
