  1. I understand he's not going to be a finished product but I hope the Brewers let him hit in situations that he was pinch-hit for tonight. He needs the experience.
  2. This organization isn't going to keep him in the minor leagues with that bat when his glove isn't "Gold Glove Caliber". Saying he was rushed to the big leagues is crazy town talk when he's been one of our better offensive players, which is why he was here early. Like he's supposed to rob a homerun that is clearly over the fence or he's supposed to slide the right way? This guy is responsible for so much offense on the team it's picking nits on plays that he only has so much control. Robbing a homerun is really hard, and hopefully he'll figure it out. Sliding incorrectly? The ball got there when he did. There wasn't anything to change that would've changed the outcome other than Chourio being like 2 steps faster to initiate the slide you've brought up.
  3. It took a pretty crazy play for Chourio to be out. I don't think Chourio slid wrong or did anything wrong. 9/10 times the catcher doesn't catch that and the ball hits the runner. The ball arrive into Baldwin's glove as Baldwin was tagging Chourio and he was out by a foot.
  4. If you're going to blame Chourio for not sliding outside, wouldn't your anger be directed at whomever is supposed to be guiding him to where the throw was coming in.. in this case it would've been Contreras.
  5. But the ball took the tag literally right into him. I don't really think there is much he can do. He and the ball arrived at the same place at the same time.
  6. Thanks for showing up, William. Maybe tomorrow you'll feel like playing.
  7. The Brewers are in a position that they can afford to let Pratt either have a moment or take his lumps in that position in the 8th. Hitting Frelick for him is really questionable at this point given what Sal has or hasn't done. Just a really frustrating decision.
  8. Jesus Joey. It's like you just forced yourself to swing at that crap.
  9. I understand Pratt not challenging but that was a clear ball in real-time I thought and yeah, replay it wasn't close. Oh well.
  10. I thought for sure Chourio would have an extra base hit on that 5-3 put out.
  11. Boy I hate the strictly righty/lefty matchup pinchi-hit decisions when it comes to Frelick pinch-hitting. I can understand him hitting for.. Ortiz, but not Vaughn.
  12. Does Contreras even want to play tonight?!
  13. Aside from Gasser's outting, there hasn't really been anything good about this performance by the Brewers tonight.
  14. I'm not sure what Frelick's ceiling is but he may have already reached it whereas Mitchell may just be scratching his.
  15. Even when he's not healthy he's still better. I like Frelick but really trying to understand how much longer this can go on with him. His bat looks awful.
  16. This was calculated by Ashby to get another W.
