  1. That Lara at bat killed the entire damn inning,.
  2. I would have considered PH Mitchell for Lara here. Oh well.
  3. Terrific. Just awesome.
  4. Just chip away a bit and see if they can get back in.
  5. I think you can go get him now.
  6. Not sure I have ever seen so many soft hits finding grass or coming up as a hit. These aren't even that bad pitches.
  7. Yes, on two pitches that were.. not close.
  8. Send Lockridge down to get him some ABs.
  9. So they're going to hit and run against a pitcher who throws several hard breaking pitches for strikes? Brilliant.
  10. How many times looking at pitches right down the middle?
  11. So the offense looked 'good' against 3 bad teams? Thankfully they won't see a good team in the playoffs. I don't think the hitters looked good against Minnesota after the AB break.
  12. Fair enough. I'll check in with you in a week (not being a jerk). This team feels more 2014 and less 2025 or 2024.
  13. I'm not referring to the games out west, per se. I asked, "have you been watching this offense? And if so, your answer is, 'meh, it's the west coast'?" No doubt it's easy to predict bad west coach trips, but this offense has been so bad for a few months that it doesn't matter where they are playing.
  14. 100%. That's been one of my largest frustrations watching this team. They seem to be watching a lot of pitches in the zone but are swinging outside the zone a lot, generally when they've already got 2 strikes so it's a lot of defensive swings. I don't think any of the Padres' starters were particularly 'good' in this series, they just knew the Brewers were going to be taking a lot of pitches. I think being patient has it's benefit but if you're getting pitches over the center of the plate, it's probably better to offer than to wait for a 2-strike slap approach.
  15. Have you been watching this lineup for the last two months and your reaction is, "meh, no big deal". Is that your honest takeaway?
