I think he also likes Villar as a PH, late-inning, double-switch guy too. Plus, Perez is swinging it okay lately...

 

I hope Villar gets more starts, but he is getting PAs nearly every night.

Perez has been hot over the last week, though I really don't think he's likely in any given night to be better than Villar. Villar has been losing more playing time to Brad Miller which is a clear offensive upgrade, so I can't complain about that.

 

Regarding Perez, I thought the Brewers picked up a new guy named Perez when I saw box scores with 3 walks in 2 days over the weekend, but I guess like the game thread from awhile ago, he really was taking notes when Miller said "I just don't swing."
