I knew when Frelick got back that Murphy would fall back in love with him. So that cuts into Bauers playing RF. It also relegates Lara to a 21 year old bench player along with Vaughn. But hey, at least we get a black hole of a batter in RF

I’d think you’d want a vet as insurance in case Burke or Fischer take over 1B as the left platoon and struggle next year. But maybe if they believe in Luke Adams a trade would be an option

I’d offer Bauers (Lefty OF) and someone the org isn’t too high on out of the pitching depth. Maybe they can flip Zerpa right away or trade Rob Z. I wouldn’t go much more but I’d offer something, especially from the team’s current surplus of pitching (and lack of power)

Beyond Koenig and Perkins would actually be a good prospect or 2. But Boston could use a lefty reliever and Perkins would be their 4th OF, especially with two lefties and Rafaela possibly playing some IF. But yeah, just because I listed those two doesn’t mean the other piece(s) would just be lottery ticket types

I would ask Boston which of Abreu or Durran they’d be more willing to deal. Then I’d try to see what is needed to add beyond Koenig and Perkins to make a trade happen.
