Aguilar has to be thanking Shaw right now. Aguilar is still a trash can but it’s overlooked because fans can only focus on how terrible one player is at a time.

This is true--but Aguilar actually looks competent most of the time. Has an excellent 2 strike approach. Shaw hasn't hit a ball hard since April--and he was hitting poorly then too.

Hmmm. Determining the shortest midget is always a difficult task.

We sure are helping Chatwood's stats look better!

It's tough watching Chatswood be so wild and then get borderline calls.

The good news is that we haven't grounded into a do in 3 innings. Baby steps.

Remember what Yoda said:

I made a sort of in jest joke about Travis Shaw being a left handed Casey McGehee on another board a week or two ago. But damn does it seem like that's what he is right now. Not highly touted had a couple of good years and then just fell off a cliff.

That first pitch to Baez was one you called a strike quite a few times on Brewers hitter ump. That is why the Brewers said something

Yeah, that would've been fine in the ninth. Do we all get to feel over crushed now because we lost a huge game?

Good ball game. Stinks to take a loss but Burch did a great job at giving us many opportunities to win this one. On to tomorrow!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Would you really have felt that much better about it if it had happened in 9 instead of 15?

Knowing we had a relatively rested pen, including Hader, ready to go for tomorrow, yes I would have.

Putrid effort at the plate.

I would think Hiura will be up soon to play 2B, Moustakas shifts to 3B. Then just need to figure out 1B.

After what Aguilar has done the last two seasons it would be really really tuff to DFA him. However, you need more production out of 1B if you want ot win the division and compete for the World Series.
