Lo Cain has been Lo Key Lo Quality at the plate this season. Let's see if he can start a rally.

Honestly, I have no idea how our record is as good as it is. Yelich is basically our only hitter and our pitching staff (though it has been quite good of late), is patchwork.

Agree with your hitting take, but our pitching staff is getting close to the best in the NL.

I think people are being generous if think Chatwood is trying to paint any corners. He is all over the place. He is lucky the ump has a big zone. Numerous low pitches being called strikes

Can't decide if this is a good game or just bad baseball.

It's one of the worst games I've ever seen.

And even Yelich is only Yelich at home.

Careful. I was told this is troll territory.

This is a classic. Best game of the year.

Bad baseball by two teams that rather not be playing is these conditions.

Aguilar has to be thanking Shaw right now. Aguilar is still a trash can but it’s overlooked because fans can only focus on how terrible one player is at a time.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

This lineup right now has a lot of guys who have been pretty bad lately. Arcia might be the 4th best hitter lately of the guys out there

I think Aguilar showed signs of life... but has the average going up .001 per week. So he's definitely back on the radar after we assumed he'd go on a hot streak. Some one has to get going or get gone. Pina additionally is just putrid. I get that you're a backup catcher but yikes.

This is true--but Aguilar actually looks competent most of the time. Has an excellent 2 strike approach. Shaw hasn't hit a ball hard since April--and he was hitting poorly then too.

Every game that the brewers have played at Wrigley that has gone at least 14 innings we've won! Also I'm pretty sure that 18 inning game was finished in less time than we are at.
Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Will be interesting to see what the Cubs do when/if Chatwood gets tired. Montgomery pitched 5 innings (71 pitches) on Thursday. I'm guessing they go to a starter, but I'm sure they don't really want to do that...
