So Burnes was hurt......in case there was any doubt

Unfortunately that removes that dream that the Brewers could win a 2 out of 3 from the Dodgers with great games from Burnes and Woodruff.

Revised dream: Woody dominance, bullpenning ala '18. Two Ws.

Without looking, I'd guess Jack Flaherty's ERA against the Brewers is 412.22

When it comes to the Brewers, Flaherty just isn't ready for the bright lights it seems...

It's a shame the Brewers aren't pouring it on...

Suter is the man!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

It's 5.72

I was pretty close.

Williams for 3. Save hader for 3 for game 2. Let’s get weird!

I like this idea a lot (although I'm thinking 2 for Hader), but they have used him for more than 3 outs a total of 1 time this year (and that was only 4 outs).

They've decided he's a closer, sadly.

Something bold may be needed. With Suter starting and Peralta inactive the bullpen goes from great to sketchy quickly.

If we can keep it at a 3 run lead or better I'd try to save Hader for Game 2. I know you take wins where you can get them but they really do need a sweep to get back into good position.

Go to Rasmussen (or Yardley if he can go) if Williams can't go 3.

Yeah they do have to look at this as a situation where they have to do whatever they need to do to win both.

Sucky day to not have Peralta.

Hopefully he’ll be fine, but that was a long break between innings for Williams after coming in and throwing just 10 pitches.

Williams just killing his k/9 here.

Threw one changeup that whole inning.
