Based on both coming off the irregular shortened season as mentioned above, and the fact teams were already trending this direction anyway, I predict “five-and-dive” will become a worn out term this season to describe pitcher usage. It seems like bullpens, especially multi-inning relievers, will play a more important role than ever.
Not just “at Night” anymore.
