Isn't there a record of like 35 Ks and 0 walks to start a season?

edit: well if there was, it's now 36 :)

Vogelbach should have a beer named after him.

Sounds delicious. One of the 50 breweries in the area should jump on that. And pay you a royalty.

Hard to believe that it wasn't so long ago that plenty of fans were ready to cut bait on Burnes after his disastrous 2019. He was being tossed into plenty of prospective trade proposals at the deadline. Obviously the Brewers front office made the right choice by sticking with him. Example number 532,864 of why this is a crazy game.

It is so refreshing to watch pure filth pouring out of the right arm of a homegrown Brewers pitcher that could have been drafted by any other team multiple times before the Brewers pulled the trigger. Even more awesome that Burnes had to work through a really bad stretch to get to this point in his development.

You could drink it out of this:

In the Cubs game the Mets have loaded the bases in 9th with one out against Kimbrel. The Cubs lead 3-1.

EDIT: Cubs held on for the win.

Robertson needed that AB. Would be nice to get him to the point where he isn't a total offensive liability.

Was looking at statcast stuff today and you could make the strong argument that he's been the worst hitter in the league.

Too bad no Mets were able to lean over the plate tonight. Flubs win.

He currently has a -27 wRC+. The only MLB hitters that have been worse (with a minimum of 30 PA) are Martin Maldonado (-40), Elias Diaz (-38), and Leody Taveras (-33).

Quick poll, do you define "batting around" as 9 guys coming to the plate in an inning or 10 guys? Internet seems mixed. Our broadcasters use the 9 guys definition and it drives me nuts. The 10th guy should have to come to the plate for it to be coming "around" full circle back to how the offense started the inning.

I feel like the 9 guys definition is like saying the big hand on the clock went around when it only went from the 12 to the 11.

Hiura 21 Ks in 49 at bats. He could be to the ATS when Wong is activated as there’s really no reason to continue to play a hitter who is a defensive liability and Ks in 43% if his at bats

Funny listening to Rock mentioning Marichal. What a windup that guy had. Same with Tiant. I imagine that Corbin would have a little trouble with all the moving parts in those windups.

Not when Jace Peterson is on the team.

I’ve always thought of it as all 9 players hitting in the inning, but I can understand the argument for needing a hitter to bat twice.

This is fun.

I think of "around" (or a round) as one turn apiece. So, I'd go with 9.
