Houser is a guy in the middle. The difference between the top guys on the pitching staff to the middle guys on this pitching staff is vast. The difference between the middle guys on this pitching staff to the bottom guys on this pitching staff is vast. That's why we've gotten slaughtered when games have required those bottom guys .

 

I'd take our two best starters and two best relievers over just about any teams, but the deep part of our pitching staff lacks any kind of depth. You don't need to be a great arm as the last guy or two in a pitching staff but we've thrown too many guys out there this year that just don't belong on an MLB roster.
