I know. I know. And, it's in a draft thread with everything going rapidfire. It was loud tho, eh? I was like: Yowza. Get it! LOL.

I'm not stylish (or young) enough for such brazen fashion.

Packer Draft Predictions:

  • Easy Ones
    • Drafts multiple WRs.
    • Draft a 4th/5th round OL
    • Trades up - Just too much draft capitol for Gute to sit tight.
    • Draft someone we didn't expect
    • Draft a TE higher then people expect and draftniks give us a low draft grade.  Fans complain that we could've traded down 2.5 spots and drafted him there.
    • 75% of draftees have a RAS > 8.00
    • Doesn't draft a WI player.  Fans are upset.
  • Hard Ones
    • Doesn't take a first round WR
    • Drafts 3 WRs. Two in the top 4 rounds - The third is also a PR/KR.
    • Trades up from #22 and down from #28.
    • Drafts someone from Cinncinnati
    • Drafts a player recovering from an ACL and dropped as a result
    • Grabs a late round RB that is labeled as a steal.

Well, two hits and one miss.  Everything else is in play.  I'd be surprised if we don't move up tomorrow.  Use one of those 4th round picks that Gute seems to hate...

Doah! Cine and Hill snagged to end the first.

Yeah, I’m a bit devastated with how safety ran at the end there. Unlikely they’d have been in play at 53, but both names I really liked.

Oh man, me neither. My fashion essentially is: It is new and then it is inevitably going to be worn when I am using chainsaws, riding a tractor, grafting a tree, planting something, grabbing eggs, killing an animal. It just won't last in any respect. And, I'm kind of a big guy (6'4" 230) so if I get anything that fits remotely I am just going to wear it and wear it all the time. My wife hates it. ?

The other positive of having a run heavy offense is that Mike Pettine is the DC for the Vikings, so 200ypg of rushing will be the norm when the Packers play the Vikes.

Pitre is there. Bryan Cook is there. Nick Cross is there. There is quality beyond these three as well.

Still lots of guys on the board who can help us.

One of the draft's strength was the depth into the 2nd round.

McBride (TE), Watson, Pickens, Pierce, Skyy Moore. All these guys can come in and play. The key will be avoiding a run on WRs in the 2nd round like there was in the first. If the team really wants someone, they may have to do a deal as someone noted.

Gute reportedly just dropped a “ I don’t think we NEED to draft a WR tomorrow “ at the podium, which is A+ Packer Twitter trolling.

Still have PIckens, two more ILB and two RBs from Georgia possible for tomorrow.

How does Georgia get 3 ILB drafted (or at least ranked a the moment)??

Exactly. And they would have transitioned nicely into a starting role in another year. Oh well.

Thoughts on Pitre?

Love it.  He may also be blowing some smoke about his intensions.

honestly think they're looking to sign and or trade for a other veteran...or two

I think he knows he kinda does, but he's just playing with people's hearts (as you said)

Randall Cobb is like 53 years old in WR years.

Allan Lazard runs like a 7.4 40  (but he sure can block!)

Sammy Watkins will probably be healthy for like 6.7 games this year

and A. Rodgers is not ready to be a WR2.

I like him, but he is likely gone by 53 and if they make a move up it should be for a WR (all smoke and comments aside from Gute).  Brisker might drop and Cross & Joseph are good 3rd round options.

Maybe that Kummerow guy is available...

I like how he jumped early/hopped then still blew by his man.

Precisely why I used 'My Word'. He had a false step lateral and still just absolutely cruised by two OL and a RB. I mean, jeepers that is an insane amount of explosiveness and twitch, eh?

As bad as my prognostication skills have been lately I will save my prediction for a random obscure pick and say Zach Tom with their first fourth rounder.

I do have a feeling, though, that at least one of the Day 1 or 2 picks will violate one of the "the Packers will never draft him because ..." rules that have proliferated, be it age, height, RAS score, etc.

Wow, I actually got something right. Now I just have to hope Tom lasts that long.

I am far more surprised that they drafted an inside linebacker than I am that they went defense-defense the way the board fell.

To close the loop on what I said above re: Wyatt. Packers say the same thing:

The should have added "except on the playing field, where he kicked ass!"
