Puello actually did well to minimize that first inning damage, but conceded a 2-run homer in the 2nd inning and he's done for the day after just 2 innings (59 pitches). It's 3-3 with RHP Christian Tripp in to relieve.

The early highs of the High-A Puello experience have now hit consistent lows. I hope he can salvage his season. He's a finesse and an unorthodox delivery pitcher. This is going to take some time. And, ultimately, he may become a bullpen arm.

RHP Ryan Middendorf continues to strike out batters at every level. 5 K's through 2 IP so far tonight. This young man slings that biscuit.

Hand issues for Weimer. That's tough when trying to hit a baseball so I tend to give him a bit of a pass. Great all-around talent.

Agree 100% about Valerio. At his young age I'm expecting him to repeat Biloxi & have a real nice '23.

4 BBs & 49 SO in just over 32 innings. With one HR allowed. That's serious. Maybe one more promotion this year?
