Why don't they EVER just try to get a first down on 4th and short? I know they think they're going to catch the D sleeping or some such, but it never works.

Bad throw....decent throw its a touchdown. Probably just as good a chance to make a poor throw on a crossing route with the defense all pressed up.

 

Watching the replay, db once again with a big jersey grab on Watson right at the time the ball was released to hold him up for a few yards.

Every time I see a QB put up the kind of huge passing yards that Tua is today I'm stunned that Norm Van Brocklin's record of 554 yards in a game has remained untouched for 71 years throughout the NFL becoming much more pass oriented.
