In your opinion! It's always important to notify you are stating an opinion! Particularly when the opinion is incorrect. 26 yrs old and thus far in his short MLB career his WAR is above replacement.

0.7 bWAR in 141 career innings is above replacement, sure, but that doesn’t make it good or even average.

By FIP (which has better predictive value than ERA over a sample of only 141 IP spread out over four years), Woodford has been 12% below average for his career.

Yesterday was LHP vs LHP, which is a big advantage for the Cardinals on both sides, in that the Brewers struggle to hit lefties, and that Cardinals offense is heavily RHH (Arenado, Goldy, Contreras all RHH) and last year produced a 131 wRC+ vs LHP and 109 vs RHP. 

Today we're back to RHP vs RHP, and the Brewers RHP is considerably better. Feeling optimistic

Woodford as an MLB starting pitching has a 4.53 ERA, 4.47 FIP, and a 4.98 xFIP. He's not a good pitcher.

Context:

League-average WAR rates vary. An average full-time position player is worth about 2 WAR, while average bench players contribute much less (typically between 0 and 1 WAR). Average starting pitchers also are worth around 2 WAR, while relief pitchers are considered superb if they crack +1 WAR.

For position players and starting pitchers, here is a good rule-of-thumb chart:

Scrub    0-1 WAR
Role Player    1-2 WAR
Solid Starter    2-3 WAR
Good Player    3-4 WAR
All-Star    4-5 WAR
Superstar    5-6 WAR
MVP    6+ WAR

141 IP with 0.4 fWAR and 0.7 bWAR puts him in that 0-1 range which is considered a scrub. Last I checked one wouldn't say a scrub is a good pitcher.

Got the optimal lineup today. Someone I'm feeling hits 2HRs for the Brewers.  Who's getting off the snide today? Yelich, Winker, or Contreras?

They are scoring a lot of runs today.

A very slow start for Rowdy -- BA .142, OBP .259, 1 HR. I hoped he would bring momentum from the WBC.

Small sample size but Rowdy and Voit being really bad at the same time is an issue.
