For the first time we will be having a Brewerfan.Net Fantasy Baseball League which will include prizes!

Iron Chef Napalm has generously agreed to be League Commissioner and will run a rotisserie league.

ICN will post his details of draft, scoring system, etc.

C'mon out and sign up to battle against fellow members and let's have some fun!

We are in a bit of uncharted territory having an official BF.Net league and most of the details of its structure will be dictated by the amount of interest.

 

Here are a few of the details that will remain unchanged regardless of the number of participants.

1. It is going to be a free Yahoo Rotisserie League

2. It is NOT a keeper league

3. The draft will be at a set date (mid March) and be conducted via the live online method. (You can prearrange your selections if you can?t make the live draft time)

4. This is not a quitter?s league. Only signup if plan to stick with it through the entire season.

 

If there is great interest in this program, I am considering breaking the contest into two seasons. We would have multiple leagues for the first half of the season and then the top few players from each league would redraft for a championship league for the second half.

I'm interested.....is there any way we can keep the league to only regular posters here? It sucks having to deal with league members that sign up, and are then MIA the rest of the season. Plus, playing in a league where we have some familiararity with the regular posters here would be a little more fun, in my opinion.

My initial plan was to limit the league to ezboard supporters, but it was decided, and I wholeheartedly agree, that we should be more inclusive.

 

Because of the high level of interest, we will most likely have multiple leagues that last only half of the season. This will limit the effect of people who abandon their team and make the second season intense.

 

For consistency, I will be commissioner of each league and I have decided to make myself ineligible for prizes. (Based on past results, I?m likely to win anyway)

 

I will update the official rules message later with an official time, but I think I am going to put a deadline for early next week (maybe wednesday) on enrollment to people who contact me or post in this thread. Opt in now if you?re interested.
