• Nashville Sounds activated LHP Nick Bennett from the Development List.
• 3B Ben Metzinger assigned to Biloxi Shuckers from Nashville Sounds.
• RHP Dencer Geraldo assigned to ACL Brewers from DSL Brewers 2.

Bennett started for Nashville Tuesday when Myers was called up.

Dencer Geraldo is a 21-year-old Dominican native making his stateside debut. He has made appearances in the Dominican Summer League in each of the past three seasons but was limited to just two brief relief outings in 2023.

I'd imagine we see Blalock either sent back to AA or sent to AAA

We’ve picked up a 26-year old multi-inning RHP for AAA depth. Todd Rosiak said the Brewers also collected some cash in this trade.

From a purely logistical standpoint, I hope Torres and Gonzalez are ready because the ACL team could use more pitchers, not fewer.

• OF Christopher Vasquez released by DSL-Brewers2

Vasquez (now 18) signed in August 2022 out of the Dominican Republic, homering in his DSL debut in June 10, 2023 and in 2 of the next 4 games he played. For the season, he produced an OPS of .859 with 5 HRs and 19 RBIs in 26 games played. However, this also came with a .203 batting average, 36 Ks in 92 PAs and no stolen bases. All 117 innings he played were in right field.

We hope Christopher is healthy and this release comes in time to help him land with another club before the 2024 DSL season commences next week, if that's his objective.

Great news for both. Congratulations to these two young men.

It now means that 4 of the 2023 draft picks are in AA (Wilken, Boeve, Wichrowski, Yoho).  That’s impressive less than 1 year from being drafted.  1 or 2 is nice, but 4 is impressive.

Herget fills the Mitch White spot in Milwaukee (DFA'd).
