Root walks another. Just another poor inning from a Mudcats pitcher. He's still being left in there. I don't know about this. He can not locate. AND now we have a pitch clock violation. This game has gone bonkers. That seems like a really poor violation clock there - ie I am pretty sure it wasn't a violation but the clock was messed up. LOL.

Thank the heavens Root ends the inning with a K. I'm going back to watch that play. THAT was insane. Yophery continues to make game-winning plays in the OF grass. Even when he can't buy a hit he is impacting games. That was an unreal chase down corral and relay.

DO you think Root knew he had him dead to rights at 2B? Oh yes he did. He was in absolute No Man's Land. This was a surefire out with any modicum of an accurate throw.

image.pngTHIS is where Rodriguez corrals the ball. I mean it's 9-12' from the Warning Track. Just an incredible run down. An incredible ability to corral it, throw an accurate relay throw. AND, kudos to Pratt for the throw to the plate. He was likely safe on replay BUT they made it close enough to get the call. Unbelievable stuff.

Nicasia smacks a 1-2 single into RF. Heck of an AB. His first hit. Briceno (pinch runner for Blayberg Diaz in the 8th frame) to the dish. His first AB of the series! What a spot. LOL.

Oh baby. Karma is a treat. Briceno's turn for a dribbler single. Reece Walling: Welcome to Low-A. Here's a spot for ya young fella. Men on the corners. One down. Have an AB. Wow.

Walling does his job on a 1-2 count he hits a deep Sac Fly. Wow. And the 1B runner was in motion after contact. The runner is ultimately thrown out at 1B. BUT, the runner scored first in the scenario. Does the run count? It's all up in the air. LOL. THIS GAME IS INSANE!

It looks like the run counts. It's 10-9 Mudcats. Bottom of the 9th. We have RHP Morris Austin on the bump. Let's hope he can find the magic!!

Great thing that Manuel Rodriguez threw 7 innings last night because today has not gone to plan for the Mudcats. Letson-Rivero were likely piggybacking today. Instead Letson doesn't pitch because of the lengthy delay and Rivero doesn't even get an out.

Goodness gracious. Austin gives up an oppo hanger for a solo shot. 10-10 game. PLEASE, can a Mudcats pitcher shut it down. I need this game to end. LOL.

Austin escapes without further damage. This game. I don't even know. I honestly don't know if I've seen a more ridiculous baseball game. It literally has everything. 10-10 and we're on to the, well, 10th.

Oh baby Walling scores from 2B on a ridiculous seeing eye single up the gut. Pitcher missed the grab with his glove. 2B had over-pursued. Guilarte on 1B. 11-10. We'll take it! Let's win this and get this game over with!

2nd time in 2 innings the runner left 1B on a hit and run aggressive scheme. Yophery pops out high to RF. Guilarte clearly has no clue where the ball is. He is slow to recognize. Gets doubled off 1B by about 3 feet. This kind of game. Two down.

Austin blows the game. He gives up the tying solo jack. He gives up a lead-off single. Then he gives up a single up the gut. Mudcats lose 12-11. This one is on the Mudcats bullpen (outside of Durow and Root) who couldn't rise to the occasion of the rain delay. They got worked. Rough one. Back tomorrow.
