Adams doesn't solve the Watson problem though even if he has some gas left. He is great at just getting open, but he is more of a possession WR especially at this stage of his career. He's not someone to blow you away over the top like Watson is. The Packers have a slew of those guys already, granted none even close to Adams but I am sure the hope is they take some leaps forward.

Watson was unfortunately the only WR of his kind on the roster.

I am pretty bummed. I liked Metcalf a lot. I have never liked expecting rookie WRs to be stars right away although it happens more now than it used to. I think this offense needs help and they are going to try to do it through the draft which is annoying for a team that feels close.

I hope we at least do something in FA on the defensive side to be excited about.

I didn't mean Davante was a similar player to watson, just that Watson's injury is why we are talking about Adams and Metcalf at all.

Bears add center Drew Dalman, 3 years, 42 million.  They had a ton of available money heading into this off-season and, depending on how Dalman's contract is structured, have spent about 70-75% of it on the interior offensive line.

Bengals re-sign defensive tackle BJ Hill to a 3 year, 33 million dollar deal.  He would have been one of my top targets for Green Bay as a solid value-type signing.

Sounds like Rodgers to Pittsburgh is close to getting done per reports

I was sort of surprised the Steelers made the Metcalf move without a QB in place. If true very good for Rodgers.

Pickens and Metcalf together was going to be interesting but adding Rodgers? Ohh Boy.

Scuttlebutt was that Pittsburgh was also strongly considering Darnold but after trading for and signing Metcalf it makes me wonder if Seattle has more spending power than Pittsburgh. So Seattle could land Darnold, leaving Rodgers for Pittsburgh. It's an interesting situation for sure.

There is some buzz about a Pickens trade being possible but that is a pretty good duo at receiver if he stays put

The implosion potential of that triangle is immeasurable.

Legit made me snort choke on muh coffee. Glorious and wonderfully insightful jab.

Carlton Davis off the board.  3 years, 60 million to the Pats.  That is higher than I would have gone.

Going back to Dalman.  His price was a bit lower than expected.  Would have liked to have seen the Packers get involved in that.

DJ Reed to the Lions. 3 years, $48 million. Would have been a good fit for the Packers, but instead goes to their division rival. That one stings.

3 years, 48 million?  That seems like a really reasonable price.

Today, alongside Draft Day, is as big a reminder as any that I am definitively also a Packers fan because the experience of watching the Fan overreactions and despair is as good a drama as any reality television. It is such an amazing spectacle.

Kind of like reality TV without a script!

The NFL sure knows how to keep us interested all year.

Probably will end up in Ireland, from what I heard.

If Rodgers ends up in Pitt there's zero chance the NFL puts Rodgers vs the Packers at 9:30 am.  That'll be a primetime or a 4:25 national game.

Fields to the Jets per Ian Rapoport

🚨 🚨 🚨

The Jets are signing QB Justin Fields, per me and
@tompelissero.bsky.social, as Gang Green gets a new starter. Fields says goodbye to Pittsburgh after 1 year.

He gets a 2-year deal worth $40M with $30M guaranteed.
