Logan Henderson out after six innings of 1 ER | 4 H | 0 BB | 6 K.

Jesus Liranzo on for the seventh and goes four up three down with a two out single to old friend Eddy Alvarez the lone blemish.

Bryan Rivera was doing quite well through 3+ innings of work, but a double and 2 infield singles in the 9th put him in 2-out trouble while over the 60-pitch mark. A back-breaking double now makes it 7-2 Pelicans ahead of the Mudcats. Tough luck.

Cooper Pratt doubled, went to third on a balk and scored on a Ramon Rodriguez sac fly in the seventh.

Now Biloxi has loaded em up in the eighth with a Restituyo HBP, Lara walk and Adams single setting up Pratt for a sac fly of his own to make it 7-1 Shuckers.

Two outs in the ninth.

Tyler Rodriguez HBP, Walther double, Made walk, Payne single, Adamczewski double has it 7-5 Carolina.

Pitching change.

I hope Juan Baez is okay after he exited following an HBP in the 7th inning for Wisconsin. The Timber Rattlers still lead 6-0.

Liranzo (walk, pop out) and Tyler Jay (strike out, two singles, ground out) worked around traffic to put up another zero in the eighth.

Adam Hall singled, stole second and scored on a Jimmy Herron single for an insurance run in the ninth.

Bryan Hudson on for the save in a 4-1 ballgame.

Brian Fitzpatrick followed Cornielle with three scoreless frames of 0 H | 1 BB | 3 K work, but Bo Bowman (walk, walk, double/E4, wild pitch, walk) and now Will Childers (walk, sac fly, walk) have run into trouble in the eighth.

Bases loaded, one out, lead down to 7-4.

Aaron Rund went six up six down (2 K) in relief of Letson before Dikember Sanchez finally conceded a run top of eight.

Blake Burke has also gone bombs away.

6-1 Wisco heading to the ninth.

6-1 Wisco heading to the ninth.

Dikember back out for the ninth and goes four up, three down to secure the Wisco win improving to 10 W - 15 L on the season.

Phew, Childers digs deep and gets two strikeouts to prevent further damage.

Childers back out for the ninth and he goes K, BB, BB, K and 4-3 to seal the Biloxi win and get them on the right side of the ledger at 13 W - 12 L.

Anyone watch Wisconsin last night? I'm curious how Areinamo has looked at shortstop this season.

I would guess that he plays well enough there to have a Capra-like role of bench SS, but that he doesn't have the range/arm to be a regular there?

I did not but wil be watching this morning both TRats and Shuckers - gotta watch Cornielle’s start for sure.

i was able to get WiFi on my planes so saw the game day box scores and updates. Solid for the system all around, even the Mudcats despite digging a hole and making it deeper had the tying run 90 feet away. Man they can definitely turn it in.  Pitching and defense is their Achilles heal. But offense especially when healthy (with Dinges and Peña) is amazing, enjoy it while it lasts in Zebulon, and enjoy it in Wisconsin when they get there (both high A and the big leagues😉)…..

Given the sad state of the MLB club at the moment it’s time for me to just focus on these baby brewers.  Can we return Priester for Yophery please, it’s been less than 30 days - what is the return policy???

Cornielle was erratic last night. He has good stuff, no velo data or pitch data on the feed. But his command was off as indicated by the high number of walks, and high pitch count. He was at 50 pitches I think at the end of 2 innings.  He was great in his last inning in the 4th. A lot of outs were hard hit, but mostly the batters did not have a good read. Effectively wild?  If he can hone the command, he has the making of a back end starter or long reliever at the minimum.

I watched it and will put in a review/summary in the Minor League Link Report if you want some thoughts on the TRats from last night's game.
