Why I like Sal...

I like players that enjoy baseball and are down to earth about the fans. Sal just seems like a nice guy. 

I saw the "bat drama" yesterday during the game but just saw this posted later. Sal returned the bat after the game.

I love Sal. I, too, am glad that he has fun with fan engagement.

(But the fan that climbed the net? Get outta here, man. Do you want 13-year-olds doing it? No? Then why on earth do we want THAT guy doing it, and getting "rewarded" for it?)

edit to add: I realize that you weren't necessarily condoning the climbing of the net. I just had that stuck in my craw.

I didn't see the game live but I watched the YouTube highlights and they spent a good amount of time on the "bat drama". I thought it was a little over the top to kick the guy out and was glad when he returned but I do see the side of the Cubs not wanting fans to put themselves at risk of injury for climbing the net.

I agree also that it was cool that Sal gave the guy a bat. I thought while watching the highlights that it was something Sal would do and it's cool to hear that he did.

Ok, I'm back to hating all things Cubs again. I blacked out there for a moment. 😂

I like that when Sal gave him the bat, it says "Go Crew" along with his sig.  Take that Cubs fan!

Sal is easy to root for, just the kind of player I have always liked.  Always hustles, seems to have the game in his blood.  One of my favorite Brewers for sure!
