WOW, Fredericksburg's 3B Mota makes an insane play. Di Turi hits a hard grounder down the third base line. Mota fields it and throws to first while his momentum is still moving him towards the dugout to get Di Turi by a step

Carra back into the 5th, gets another strikeout but then gives up a triple on a fastball right down the middle

Grounder to Di Turi. He makes the play but the run comes in from third

2 out line drive to right for a single but Walther nabs him stealing second. Carra at 83 pitches as we head to the top of the 6th

Ordonez walks. Lameda hits a grounder to right and the second baseman can't make the play. 2 on no outs for Walther

Walther singles to right and Ordonez scores as Lameda heads to 3rd. He's certainly atoning for his earlier mistake. And another run scores on a balk

Ortuno flies out to center on a sliding play by the CF. Román is now out of the game with only 1 out. Ragsdale vs Kane coming up

Ragsdale fights a couple of tough pitches by the new lefty and lines to left. Walther scores and it is 6-2 Muddies

Bitonti strikes out and Anderson pops out.

He gives up a leadoff single to Mota, who's been a problem today (He scored on Walther's throwing error and made the dazzling play that saved a run in the 5th)

Gives up another single and the Muddies are in trouble. 2 on with no one out.

Encarnación makes a catch at the warning track and the runner advances to third. Johnson got lucky that didn't leave the stadium.

LAMEDA. What a play young man! On a sharp ground ball down the middle he slides to his right, pops up to step on second and throws to first to beat the runner by half a step. He bailed Bjorn out!

Encarnación hits one softly to the pitcher and is tagged on his way to first. Di Turi ground softly to the first baseman, who throws to the pitcher covering the bag. Ordonez strikes out on a breaking ball in the zone. 1-2-3 go the Mudcats to the bottom 7th we go

Bjorn Johnson is back at it and immediately gives up a hard hit ball down the line that turns into a triple

Groundout to Di Turi as the run scores. Now Johnson gives up a walk.

Bjorn gets a fly out to right, gives up a stolen bag but gets the strikeout and escapes the inning

It was 6-0 Sounds headed to the bottom of the 8th. RHP Julian Merryweather came aboard for the first time in three days. He gave up 3 HR including a three-run ahot before ye was pulled after his 2/3 IP. 6-5 Sounds headed to the bottom of the 9th. LHP Brian Fitzpatrick will try to sneak out the 'W'.

Lameda grounds out to SS. Walther faces a really uncomfortable AB, with an ugly swing at a breaking ball in the dirt, and strikes out on a high fastball. Puk (the new pitcher) gets the ground ball but the shortstop throws high and the ball bounces off the top of the first baseman and Ortuno reaches

Ragsdale hits it into the ground right at the first baseman who makes an easy play. Bottom 8 coming up

Anfernny Reyes is in, gets a K, and Lameda makes another great play. Slides to right on a ground ball and throws to first from his knees. 1 out.

Reyes gives up a single on a 100 mph liner to right. Bitonti makes a nice catch on a pop up in foul ground and we go to the 9th

Bitonti's last AB of the year is his 3rd hit of the game. Single to left to leadoff
