We'd had the same artificial tree for something like 15 years, but it got ruined in the summer when the water tank malfunctioned and flooded the storage room. Thankfully, a cousin was looking to get rid of her artificial tree so she gifted it to us. My cat is waaay calmer than some of yours guys so we've had no incidents on that front.

It's become an annual tradition that someone in my family is sick.  We had three years in a row where someone had a stomach virus, several of us got sick over Christmas on a trip to the Dominican a couple years ago, and now this year one of my kids has a fever.  If it's not Christmas, it's Thanksgiving (another stomach flu one year, pink eye, random fever)...

I got the norovirus last Christmas.  Thankfully no sickness this year.  The norovirus is seriously the worst thing I have ever gotten.  The worst 48 hours of my life by far.  That is one nasty virus.
