The ACL Brewers have resumed their July 13 home contest against the ACL Dodgers, leading 2-0 in the bottom of the 3rd inning with 2-on, 2-out.

Amazingly, both pitchers appear to have picked up where the Monday game left off.

More importantly, LHP JD Thompson opened with a 2.0 IP of 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 0 R work in his first rehab stint. Let's hope he stays healthy! It's now 3-0 in the Top of the 6th. Hughes has 2 K's in 3 AB. I opened the Gamecast to see him strike out on 3 pitches. Ouch.

Nieman's best outing since late May. He just completed his fourth frame of scoreless work: 4 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 4 K, 0 R. You love to see it.

Sigh. ACL Brewers were somewhat cruising, up 3-0 in the 7th inning, but committed 3 consecutive errors to allow 3 unearned runs.

Now in extra innings, they’ve allowed 4 runs in the top of the 10th inning.

Opposing pitcher Joel Cruz gets credited for 102 pitches in 8 innings, including 2.2 innings on July 13 and 5.1 innings when they resumed play today.

It’s a home doubleheader for Wisconsin, as they aim to turn around a 1-0 series deficit to Quad Cities. 20-year old RHP Jayden Dubanewicz (4.61 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 7.6 K/9 in 27.1 IP) makes his 6th High-A start in Game 1. CF Braylon Payne has 2 homers and 6 RBIs in his last 3 games.

Recently-acquired 27-year old LHP Colton Gordon (3.69 ERA with 55 Ks in 70.2 PCL IP) in makes his organizational debut, as AAA Nashville seek to even their home series against Norfolk. 3B Luke Adams has homered in 2 of his last 3 games.

RHP Jaron DeBerry (13 IP, 4 R, 21 Ks in last 2 starts) makes his 17th start for AA Biloxi as they work to grab a 2-0 home series lead over Pensacola. C Matt Wood is 16-for-32 with 2 homers in July.
