To totally cop out, I can't comment on a situation I know nothing about. Ask me again without using names http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif . Also, Mike Carlin is going to AA tomorrow! Talk to you all soon.

So, completely hypothetically speaking, if a player wants to be traded, how vocal would you be about the player's demands? Because hypothetically speaking, it seems like the more that's said publicly, the less bargaining power the team has, and thus the less chance they'll get a decent trade offer.

Carlin homered in AA

To answer the question, I would try to work with the team to resolve the situation as fast as possible. At the end of the day however I work for the player and sometimes that conflicts with the teams best interests, and unfortunately the team holds all the cards in that situation. Im a believer in teamwork in resolving a situation so I would be vocal to a point I suppose but I probably wouldnt handle it through the media if I could help it.

Another late night on the road. We signed Zolio Almonte, Carlos Urena and Jose Pirela of the Yankees this month. So far what are everyones thoughts on the season? Let me know if you guys have anymore questions and thanks again for having me.

Since you just mentioned signing some Yankees, do you notice any particular difference in negotiations between Cashman and Melvin, or are there any particular GM's that stand out one way or another?

Also how do you see the shortening of the time for signing draftees changing the dynamics of the signing process.

Thanks for answering our questions, it's great to have a different perspective from within the business, and good luck to your clients.

For the minor league guys during negotiations I usually deal with area scouts or scouting directors. Each team is different, but I have a great relationship with all the teams I have had the good fortune of working with.

On a seperate note, the brewers signed another one of our clients friday, Nick Tyson a d/f from Lake City CC. He's a big kid with a ton of projection.

Talk to you all soon!

Caleb is on fire and Tyson pitched last night in Helena. Robulack's first pro hit was a 3 bagger, go figure.

39, first off, I can't help but think of Maxwell Smart every time I see your user name.

Your agency has several Brewers now, and seemingly more all the time. I have to assume you have a good relationship with team management, do you think that influences a team's draft day decisions? Could it be that the Brewers do or do not take a kid in round 14, based on past relationships with agents?

I think it depends on the advisor/agent. Certain teams have a preference for dealing with certain agents. I know I have a great working relationship with the Brewers and I know that did help a great deal in Gindl and Robulack's case. Lots of teams were on those two but our relationship with MIL made things easier for sure. I hope this helps.

Chappy 2 jacks in a game, while tyson had the longest outing of his career so far. Cain/Ford both got hits of former CY winner Chris Carpenter too. Pretty exciting day!

ended up not signing andy bouchie which was a bit disappointing, it happens but I did get Lefave today.
