Bill Hall also works the count, but he drew only 35 walks. The number of walks is more important than P/P.A. I think Fielder will draw at least 60+ walks because pitchers will be scared by his power swing and Prince naturally has a good eye.

And Overbay has done a good job in getting walks, especially in runners on situation this season. At least Lyle's bb/so, bb/pa etc remains the same as they were in 2004.

I would like to see Jeff Cirillo start at third base tonight. I think his batting approach will work better against Mark Prior compared to Branyan and Hall.

I was right. Hall has struck out three times already. His long swing is not a good fit for this type of pitcher.

According to the gamecast on the internet, Hall took 3 straight called strikes. Were they borderline or was he fooled? I don't have the game on tv or radio right now.

Is anybody else a little frustrated with this ump and how he makes his strike calls? He's a little slow and he doesn't get animated when he calls it. Let us know, is it a ball or a strike!

As a side note, Corey Patterson is not very good. Wow.

Normally I don't like to get on a manager there but I sure would have liked to make Prior throw some more pitches there instead of testing Blanco's arm.

Great job by our future number 5 pitcher tonight ( I hope ).

Another quality start for Ohka. That Spivey trade was so well timed and executed with Rickie in the wings.
