I will go on record to say that this is one of the biggest games of the season thus far tonight. We must win for a couple of reasons:

 

1) Have to win 3/4 this weekend, and winning game 1 is huge

2) We cannot fall back to 3 under .500

 

If you recall, Santos pitched probably his best game of the year earlier this year against the Giants. Let's hope he keeps it going tonight.

While I don't think this is the biggest game all season so far it certainly would look nice to win game one and then have our three best pitchers going in the last three games of the series.

 

This may be forward thinking again but with the off day monday the crew will get a chance to skip someone in the rotation. With a decent start by Okha yesterday today's start by Santos might go a long way in determining who does get skipped.

 

Lastly, it looks like the Giants used their bullpen frequently in their series against the cubs. If we could rough up Hennessey early today that would put us in a very good position in the series.

A win moves the Brewers to 4.5 out in the WC. Its a big momentum swinging game. Milw needs 3 of 4 to really make a splash in the WC chase.
