Could be in for another long evening with Z-bro on the mound as he as owned us in the past.

Stats of the day:

Brewers rank 15th in NL in team batting (.252)

Brewers rank 15th in NL in team fielding, leading the league in errors, while finishing last in Double plays

Brewers rank 2nd in NL in pitching..which really only means we keep losing 3-2 when our pitchers keep giving up 1-2 earned runs a start...

Didn't we get to him last time we faced him? I know we made him look realy good the first time, though.

We seem to do ok against zambrano at home, it's in Chicago where he kills us. I recall roughing him up big time in a game last year and we did beat him at home earlier this year. Just which Davis will show up? Toronto Davis or 7+ IP Davis?

Wow, looking at that box score from last year has me jealous! Can we get Jeff Liefer back in uniform! Maybe he can get a big run scoring base hit for us. 7 runs on 14 hits. Man, I would kill for one of those games right now. Just for a point of reference, that last time we scored 7 runs or more was June 3rd when we beat the Dodgers 7-5. Of course that was in the middle of a dreadful 2-5 West Coast roady.

I'm hopingYost sits Weeks tonight so Rickie can think about his lackluster defensive skills.

Why would he worry? His defense has been good enough for him to get the everday job in the bigs. Which is why I don't know if his defense will ever improve that much.

Last game Z started against the Brewers, I recall him laughing as he walked off the field after striking out Jenkins.

I'll be looking to see if he still finds it funny, because I don't doubt it'll happen if Geoff is in the lineup. At least once.

My stat of the day:

Last year through 70 games the Brewers had a run differential of + 7. This year through 70 games the Brewers have a run differential of + 6. Yet, last year they had a 36-34 record, this year a 31-39 record, a difference of 5 games.

Ahh, game #71 of last year. Living in the Twin Cities and not getting back to Milwaukee much I have only been able to see the Crew when they came to the dome the past two seasons. Last year I was treated to the Liefer show and a nice outing by Santos/Adams. This year I endured Glover getting pulled in the 2nd and Spivey's stellar baserunning.

Go get one tonight Brew Crew!

Help or thoughts?

I have a chance to start:

Clark

O

Weeks

Hall

Jenkins

on my fantasy team tonight.

vs a tough pitcher.

Does Clark stay semi hot?

Does O take the sitting as a sign?

Does Rickie bounce back from his worse game?

Does Hall--I'm starting him!

Jenks worked two walks so maybe?

Thoughts?

Does anyone else just hate Neifi Perez? I can't stand looking at his chicken legs in his ill fitting uniform. What a dork. I can't stand the guy. I can't stand the Cubs period. Why do we half to SUCK year after year?

I hate Neifi Perez.

Bill Michaels on SportsCentral just talked about the Brewers and said "this ---- is getting old". He said he doesn't want to see Yost lose his job, but that something has got to change.

Nice to see the media get a little tough.

EDIT: Houston won today and could pass us in the standings. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif

Your fantasy team must not be very good. I hope you are supplementing the below average offense you are getting from O, Weeks and Jenks at their positions with good players like Manny Ramirez and Derrick Lee.

Personally, against Zambrano, I'd start Hall and that's it. Jenks should weld himself to the bench.

Well, the game is about to begin in a few minutes. I have a very nervous feeling right now.
