  1. The deal they were talking about on 1250 the other day was Ersan, Luc, Epke and #15 for Okafor, Singleton, Vesely and #3.
  2. If you're looking for more useless speculation, Tom Verducci was on Dan Patrick's radio show this morning and said he didn't think they would throw the entire suspension out the window, because that would be a "game-changer" for the testing system, but he would not be surprised if the suspension was reduced. He feels that the length of the process indicates that Braun has a legitimate case.
  3. What Epstein was looking for was managing OR coaching experience at the major league level.
  4. This story says that purchase of a parking pass will "ensure" a spot.
  5. Bill Michaels is reporting the 1:07, 3:37 starting times for Sat/Sun
  6. I got two SRO for Game 1 (I had switched from four to two tickets thinking I'd get better seats.. HA!) and a coworker got two in Section 110 for Game 2.
  7. Roenicke would never consider using Green in a tight game because he's a rookie and it would no doubt ruin his career forever to use him in an important spot so early.
  8. Bowden doing live chat on ESPN.com, says he can't imagine that the Cards would trade Rasmus for Jackson. If they do, they get his first "F" grade.
  9. Belling's "analysis" of this deal was painful to listen to. He seems to be under the impression that the Brewers are paying K-Rod's ENTIRE 2011 salary, and that the deal is the precursor to trading Axford for a "major" 3B and SS. Yikes. Some of the callers tried to set him straight but none of the ones I heard challenged his "spending $10M on a new closer" comment.
  10. They're saying Lawrie's wrist is healing slowly, I saw one report that he's aiming to return to action in August.
  11. Here's one: http://bleacherreport.com...g-guard-brandon-jennings Bleacher Report had already put together ten possible trades that would "work" under the cap, several of which saw the Bucks re-acquiring former players like Mo Williams, Steve Blake, or Richard Jefferson.
  12. Reports today that the Bucks are willing to listen to offers for Jennings. I like it.
  13. The Bucks didn't draft Tractor Traylor, Dallas took him at #6 and then traded him to the Bucks for Nowitzki and Pat Garrity.
  14. Nearly one month with no new posts; I guess people are really loving the Will Ferrell episodes, eh?
  15. I think the odd thing about that article is that it refers to Kameron Loe as the Brewers' closer.
  16. They don't: http://www.dishnetwork.co...ts/baseball/default.aspx
  17. I don't think DISH has Extra Innings any more.
  18. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/118863874.html
  19. The guys on 1250 were just talking to a sportswriter from Oklahoma and he said that he thinks Buzz is Oklahoma's first choice and will be offered the job. He had no idea if Buzz would accept it or not.
  20. For once, living in an area with no cable TV pays off. I have truTV in HD!!!
  21. I caught a little bit of "Baseball Tonight" yesterday afternoon, and Eduardo Perez' "Bold Prediction" for the NL was that Betancourt will have a big year and will help the Brewers defensively. He has "great range", per Eduardo.
  22. Gooden, in particular, struck me as a horrible deal. I don't think he had ever had a contract longer than two years in his career, and we gave him a five year deal on the first day of free agency. Insane.
