That caught stealing just killed the whole inning. Why is Brady Clark even running? He has never had the ability to steal bases.

Thanks a lot Ned.

Have we determined that we SUCK at stealing and/or hit+runs ??? Good gravy.

What's weird is that in several obvious hit-and-runs, the hitters hasn't even tried to swing. In spring training the hit and runs yielded a lot of base hits, runs, and extra bases. For some reason they aren't working yet

For those following along without the TV feed, Clark was thrown out by like five feet, and it wasn't a hit and run. *Vomit*

Pujols is so good. Wow.

Brady Clark is really a #2 hitter - he's just miscast as a leadoff hitter. I miss Podsednik.

Can we start a "Clancy-Over-React-o-meter?"

I miss Podsednik.

this, after earlier in the week declaring that we should deal Spivey because he couldn't turn the DP on several balls which were not ideal

Only if he stops trying to steal everytime he gets on base. 'Cause that would effectively make his OPS zero.

This umpire is ridiculously terrible.

There have been three times already where hitters requested time and he didn't grant it, something that almost never happens, and his strike zone is odd and inconsistent.

Maybe he enjoyed a few too many Champagne of Beers before the game.

Last year when the Brewers played in Puerto Rico (site of the famous Helms incident), Juan Nieves did an interview with Jim Powell that was uber-sweet. Juan Nieves, despite speaking English as a second language and being employed his entire adult life as a baseball player or coach, managed to sound more professional, engaging, and polished than Bob Brainerd did tonight while talking about Juan Nieves.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, FSN North.

some terrible defense there. Right while I'm thinking Ben could one day win a gold glove, he throws it away. Then we are forced to remember that Lyle is a below average fielder at first.

Does anyone think Bill S. can learn not to use fielding pct. as the end-all to good defense?

ACK!! 2 errors in the inning by Sheets!

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Did we sign Ben Grieve today? How did I miss that?

Jeez. I've seen Over-40 Men's Slow Pitch Softball teams with better defenses than this.

Is this the one game a year (loss) difference between the worst defensive first baseman and the best. Maybe, just maybe, there is more than ONE game detriment to playing a below average defensive first baseman.
