I feel great! We scored 7 runs, we won it in the 9th, we didn't lose our heads, we broke the streak, and DK got his 30th save (I think).

I think anytime you get shutout 2 nights in a row, on the heels of a 4 game losing streak, there's going to be some warranted doom and gloom.

 

In all honesty, had they lost this one, it wouldn't have been nearly as depressing as the last few nights, just because we scored some runs.

 

But hey, they won, all is right in the world (for another day!) and we're still clinging to .500.

I sure hope the Brewers cling with every part of their 'below average' anatomy they can muster. It is so important for the future of this organisation. Remember a couple of years ago we were showed how we were a .500 club over the last couple of months of one year, then the next couple of months of the next year.

 

We were led to believe we had turned the corner. And being .500 over 4 or 5 months is great. But the fans look at the year by year record. And if you consistently finish below .500, then you are a consistent loser. And watching a loser... or buy tickets to a loser... is not done.

 

So, I sure hope we can trade a few of these guys AND cling.
