McClung to Start Tomorrow Night (8/12)

Went to the Sounds game tonight and noticed McClung is scheduled to start tomorrow. Should be interesting to see how he does since he has done pretty well so far (9.0 IP, 10K, 0.00 ERA). Hope it goes well for him and we see him in Milwaukee in September.

5 more innings of shutout ball with 7 k's for McClung. This may be a great change of scenery for Seth, as he has always had dominating stuff for the Devil Rays.

Only 1 walk. I think it's time to really consider getting him on the club in a few days once he's rested up. How much longer can we let CV struggle? CV will be good, but we can't continue to allow him to trot out there the way things are going.

I'm trying not to get too excited since it is only a couple of AAA starts, but if the Brewers turn this guy into a starter this could be the ultimate nugget.

I wonder what the long term plan is for McClung? When I was at the first game he pitched I was blown away by his velocity and instantly thought of a setup guy or closer. Starter wouldn't be too bad, but I don't know if he has enough pitches to be consistent through the line up more than once in the bigs.

There is no radar gun at Greer Stadium, but the bullpen pitchers were thinking he can hit 100 when he was warming up. He easily throws harder than any other player on the Sounds.
