Braun coming to the Jungle - Friday 9/14

A little heads up for those of you who will have radio access tomorrow...

 

Ryan Braun will be the next Brewer to be interviewed on Jim Rome's radio show tomorrow.

We wont know what time he will be on until he announces it around 11:05am at the start of the program.

 

Anyone who can listen tomorrow at 11 and let us know when he will be on, please let us know!

i am looking forward to the jungle karma. Took an early lunch so i am going to miss it, wish i would of saw this thread this morning and then i would of planned my lunch around it.

2nd time that Tony Gwynn has been on the same day as a Brewer in the last couple months, that's weird.

Listened to it at work..although I was distracted a bit, so missed some of it.

 

He was very complimentary of the Brewer's fans and talked about how nice it is to be hitting in front of Fielder. Said that when you first come up, the pitchers try to pitch you outside to see if you'll chase.

 

I was most interested in hearing him talk about his "showboat" HR last week. He was pretty contrite about it. He realized that he probably went a little too far with it, which I thought was nice to hear.

 

He also believes that he will be wearing a "rookie dress" sometime next week on the road as part of rookie "hazing", but he'll just roll with it and not go all Chan Ho Park on everyone.

Yes, but last week I didn't get my paycheck...and I talked to HR about it...and they told me they would look into it...but they still have not said anything to me..and I still have not been paid...and so I told them "Ok, then, but this is the last straw"

They best hurry up and put that segment on the website.

i've been waiting to get some karma for a while now. on top of that, i've been waiting for braun to get some real love from rome after that debacle last time he came on and there was a sub.

I said it in a different thread and will repeat it here. The ROY award is voted on by sports writers not by stats.. if braun hopes to win it, he has to get some face time with the press/media. being on shows like the Jim Rome show goes a long way towards achieving other desired outcomes. Stats alone don't win awards. I' m confident the brewers' PR guy knew this and set up the interview. I'll give some props to the brewers' PR guy. he wants braun to get some exposure. and the timing of this interview was almost perfect. it puts braun on the national map and gives voters a couple of weeks to see him play.
