Hart would be a much better RF than Lofton, as he has a much better arm. Not only are folks proposing position changes that will never happen, now we have them that weaken the defense.

Thats not the point. The point is that Hart would be much better in CF than Bill Hall is and Bill Hall would be much better at 3B than Braun is. So is essence its saying that Lofton is a better defender than Bill Hall is, which is obviously true. Hart may be a better RF than Lofton but Hart and Lofton is much better than Hart and Hall, especially coupled with the fact that taking BH out of the OF would allow him to upgrade our infield defense as well. Hart has played CF and played it well.

 

The question is whether or not Brewer brass wants to put Braun in LF (or RF it really doesnt matter to me. If that were to happen our OF for the next few years would be Braun, Hart and LaPorta, in some combo, but I digress). I dont think they have given any indication that Braun is moving, which is dumb because of the good it would do to help the team in the area it needs the most improvment.

Quenton - thats the guy. Maybe the DBACKS are ready to give up on him. His defense is already there so we wouldnt have to go to the extreme of shifting a 1b to OF.
