I pretty much read this guys stuff every day. This guy claims to be a BIG cubs fan. Has anyone else paid attention to his lack of respect for the Brewers. He always gives a negative spin on whatever the Brewers have traded/signed for. Maybe it is just me. Has anyone else gotten the same feeling?

From time to time he may make a quip, and see the world through Cubs colored glasses, but overall I think he's fairly balanced. He will every now and then even call himself out for being biased.

It's hard to see anything overtly negative about his entry on the Torres trade. All he did was point out the facts, that Torres is 36 and has been worked extremely hard in recent years. I also didn't see much negative stuff about Riske or the proposed Rolen deal. Where are you getting this from?

I too read him everyday and I never feel he spins anything about the Brewers with any malicious intent. Then again I'm always impressed when ever I meet a Cub fan who can read and write, let alone operate a computer.

Tonight is the first time I've looked thru the MLB Trade Rumor site and it's insanely hard to read. Add some color and a different font size!

I use the site frequently, but now that you mention it his take on the trade is kind of one-sided. I think an objective view might reflect that as the YankSox of the two teams the Brewers can afford to risk wasting money on the salary of a player more likely to provide some help and that the Pirates are in their usual futile salary dumping mode.

He doesnt openly bad mouth the trades/transactions but I guess it is obvious to me that he is a Big Time ScRubs fan.

 

It just seems like there is always a one-liner to dig a little on the crew.

Who cares if he is a Cubs fan and if he does make the occasional one-liner as long as he's getting the information out. People here make little cracks on the Cubs here all the time in the process of doing something else.

Yes, but those cracks are on a Brewers message board, which by law, must be anti-Cub. His cracks are on a nuetral site that talks about trade rumors. Not that the one liners bothers me much, but its a bit different situation than here.

I'll pay more attention from not on, but doesn't he make "one liners" about many trade/rumors he doesn't think are all that special, whether it deals with the Brewers or not? Either way it's one of the few rumor/blog sites I can stand. He relays (not reports) lots of information without adding tons of his own speculation like to many of the other sites do.

I just learned that adults who celebrate Halloween are morons. Apparently, being obsessed with something as unimportant as baseball is OK, however.

We'll have to wait to see the terms, but my guess is that this turns out to be a shrewd signing by Melvin. Gagne will be in his comfort zone - National League, closer role.
