Mike Lamb

He is one of few LH 3B and is a free agent! Why has there been no talk of getting him?

2007 line: .289/ .366 OBP/ .453 SLG 11HR, 40 RBI. He also had a OBP of .361 in 2006. But i don't know about his defense, is he servicable? However, he is a great pinch hitter.

His defense isn't great, and he needs to be platooned in order to function best. If we have to resort to a platoon at 3B, he'd be one to consider, without question.

I've read that Lamb is, quite frankly, a really bad 3B. Haven't seen him enough to know this. He only played 58 games at 3B last year, but if he had qualified, his Fielding % would have been 3rd worst in the majors, and his Zone rating worst (even worse than Braun). His range factor was better - not quite at the middle mark, but not worse than lower 3rd.
