Any font experts out there?

I only have basic knowledge of fonts and photoshop and I'm trying to recreate/modify a logo. I need to use the original font, but I can't figure out what it is and I have no idea who created it originally. I've tried Whatthefont.com and identifont.com with no luck. I posted it to the Whatthefont forum with no luck also. The closest match I can find is not close enough. If anyone can give me suggestions for how to match the font I'd greatly appreciate it, or if you'd like to see the image I can PM you a link.

Usually when I can't find a correct font for a logo I have to create each letter from scratch in PS. It's a long process, but when your stuck and you run out of options...
