To me, it just seems like a large amount of money to pay an average pitcher. He's 30, had a 5.38 road ERA last year, and has had a 4.80 road ERA over the past 3 years.

I wonder if he had a 'free goggles for life' clause written into the contract? If not, he should've had me represent him - I would have settled for nothing less.
