Anyone going to Brewers Fantasy Camp?

I am going for the first time, leaving Monday. Just curious if anyone has any insight from past experience... I am psyched about playing some ball in Maryvale and psyched about Brewer Baseball in 08! Crawdaddy

I went a couple times (96 & 97). It's an absolute blast. When I went, they still played in Chandler. Not sure what players are going to be there, or who runs it now, but be careful who you drink with at night (we spent a few late nights at the bar with Gorman). And watch out for the practical jokers. And try not to get fined too much in the Kangaroo Court.

My favorite memories are striking out against Rollie Fingers; a smash back through the box off Kevin Kobel (anyone remember him); batting lessons from my first Brewer hero -- Danny Walton; and having a postgame beer and talk with Robin Yount.

I can't wait to go back -- perhaps next year.

That is awesome! I have the list of coaches... Jerry Augustine, Greg Brock, Rob Deer, Mike Fetters (only 3 years out of the majors, I am sure he still has 90 plus in his gun), Moose Haas, Lou Klimchock, Johny Logan (that will be cool), Don Money, Ben Oglivie, Ed Sedar, Bob Skube, Dale Sveum & Stormin Gorman. I spent a half hour with Augustine last Sunday when I took some batting practice and threw some pitches. He was very cool. He said that you get fined if you are back in your room before midnight, and Gorman told me last year that he pushes his campers hard with the brew. I have been training very diligently with the Miller products. Thanks for the insight. Crawdaddy

I would love to go to this when I'm old enough. I just don't think I'll ever have the money to be able to go.

Sounds fun.. I just qualified this year, but it's pretty pricey.
