Rick Braun no longer covering Brewers for Journal-Sentinal

A gentleman named Anthony Witrado has been joining Haudricourt in updating the Brewer blog this weekend, and he mentioned that he indeed with be replacing the much-maligned Rick Braun this year. I do not know much about Witrado, but Braun knew very little about baseball, and made some very embarrassing errors.

I thought Braun was fine when it came to reporting on the game that actually occurred in front of him. Outside of that, he was pretty clueless, and he wasn't afraid to expose that cluelessness, either.

 

My favorite was when he tried to answer questions in chat--even though had no clue how to answer them--rather than just skipping the question and choosing another.

I've enjoyed everything Witrado has done on the preps side. He really seems to do his homework on every story he writes. He's also young and off to a good first step so far with his work out of Arizona.

Can you explain why they dug out a Haudricourt picture from like 1988? Was it in the same vault as the mullet and mustache one of Bob Wolfey?
