  1. The fact that Garza was ready to bat tells me that he wasn't really hurt or didn't want out of the game at all. A player will never ask out of a game, they play hurt all the time as a point of pride. Of course he didn't want or ask to be taken out. It's the manager and coaching staff's job to protect them from further/more severe injury in certain instances. I get that, but was he even talking to a trainer at all in the dugout prior to getting his helmet on and grabbing his bat?
  2. Someone be sure to post their notes of the press conference. I want to know the reasoning for taking out Garza.

  4. Pretty sure the famous Shouse/Burrell matchup was 2008. It was, it led to the firing of Yost.
  5. Davis, Reynolds, and Herrera in the 9th. Personally, I hope it comes down to Gomez - I have lots of faith in him lately.
  6. Rickie has about a 2% chance of having a worthwhile at-bat here. I'd love to be wrong.
  7. If RRR says that he liked the matchup of Overbay against whoever, I'm going to vomit.
  8. I wish we could swear on this forum. It's the only thing that will make me feel better.
  9. Um... Unless there's an injury, there was almost zero sense made by taking Garza out since he was dealing and had thrown very few pitches. Ron did them a favor.
  10. Yeah, I think we all saw that coming. One of the few guys who can beat you just did. I'm also sick of seeing Gomez in the leadoff spot, but who else can we put there?
  11. I'm going to say Braun, especially if there are 2 outs. They're not going to hit Gomez if he keeps getting himself out.
  12. If Lackey hits Gomez with a pitch today, I sense a mound-charging. Gomez is that worked up already after that 1st inning at-bat.
