  1. So... Lester may potentially face all righties? Interesting. Nevermind - forgot about Utley.
  2. If Jeter played for, say, the Indians, would he still get this type of swan song? I never had a problem with him - always thought he did things "the right way", for what it's worth. I am rooting for the NL, but I can't lie - I like seeing Wainwright get lit up like a Christmas Tree.
  3. I appreciate all the information (and hard work).
  4. I was thinking the same thing. You wish that you could keep that approach all year - even though the results won't always be there. Homeruns can be hard to come by.. and they've hit one solo one today. 8 runs by hitting the ball (for the most part) the other way is impressive.
  5. I won't feel comfortable until the last out of the game - should it result in a Brewer victory.
  6. Couple of grand salami's and the Brewers will win this thing..
  7. He hit his bat on his leg about 4 times and it still didn't break. haha Then slams it on the ground, slams his helmet on the ground, and rips his batting gloves. You could hear all the puking coming from St Louis - very unclassy.
  8. Good grief this team. I get it, they've got other things on their mind.. but c'mon.
  9. Really am sick of seeing Gomez swing out of his shoes.
  10. In February, if you would have told me the Brewers would have a one game lead during the last weekend before the All-Star game, I would have been delighted. Watching this team the last two weeks has been anything but delightful; and, like you said, to know they're losing it against the Cardinals - my least favorite team in any sport - makes it even worse. The fact that this weekend has gone exactly as I had feared, it's almost too much to take right now. And of course, Segura's son passing away being the worst part of this season.
  11. The Brewers wouldn't be able to score 8 runs in a week the way they're hitting. And worse yet? If they somehow come back from being down 8, they'd fail to keep the lead and lose anyway.
  12. Remember when the Brewers used to be able to do what the Cardinals are doing?
  13. Meanwhile, Wainwright has thrown 23 pitches and we're in the 3rd inning. Sigh.
  14. At least after today we don't need to worry about the Brewers coughing up the lead in the division.
  15. Yeah, he does not have an analyst voice at all. Everything is forced. I agree with both of you - he's hard to listen to.
