  1. If Boston needs a shortstop, why not Hall. I could see a trade of Bill Hall and a lower level prospect for Penny. That seems like a fair deal for both sides.
  2. Just wondering if anybody else has voted on the T-Rats website for their bobblehead promotion set for Sept 3rd, "Fans Choice". I hope Lawrie or Cutter wins the vote as they would make great bobble's for any Brewers fan that is a collector. I would care less if JJ Putz won the honor. On a side note I heard from three friends the Sounds are doing a Braun bobble this year. Anybody know if there is any truth to that?
  3. What can you get signed on autograph Friday?
  4. Just wanted to see if someone had a extra copy or willing to sell their copy of the Baseball Card Plus Beckett magazine with Braun on the cover. I have not seen the issue out there in sometime. Please let me know if you do and if we can work something out. Or even if you have seen it at a store. Also if you have the Braun cover issue of Baseball America or Prince Fielder At The Yard cover let me know as well. I would be willing to maybe trade Brewer bobbles etc. or do cash for sure. Let me know.... Thanks I'm Looking for: Ryan Braun cover Baseball Card Plus Ryan Braun cover Baseball America Prince Fielder cover At the Yard
  5. I got The Show today and it is awesome. I did franchise mode right away and called up Gamel, Salome, Escobar and Irbarren. the designers are alittle off on their info about certain players like Weeks is a better defensive in- fielder than Hardy or Escobar The graphics are very good for PS2 and the price was right, only $29.99. The only real downside is I can't figure out a way to lock on a pitch were it locks the location. So far on this years game it only shows me that I picked the right pitch but I have know idea were it's going. If anybody knows how to get a lock on hitting with location being shown let me know, it would be much appreciated.
  6. It's too bad Redd got hurt. We probably could have probably could have traded him for at least a 1st round pick and a fat expiring contract or two. We then would have the cap space to resign Charlie V and Sessions. I also think if there is a way to get Wisconsin native Caron Butler now or down the road it would be a great fit. My wife went to high school with , he was a real decent guy and a hell of a ball player. If we could make that trade we finally would have a guy that would be excited about being a Milwaukee Buck and not complaining about what market he got stuck in. IMO
  7. If the Brewers did sign Dunn and trade Fielder to the Red Sox, could the Brewrs then flip the players from Boston that we receive? Maybe send Bucholz and one or two of our better prospects to the Padres for Peavy? If the Padres right now offered Peavy for Fielder we would probably do it, so why not this way? The end result would be Peavy for Fielder.
  8. Ryan Braun will be doing a private signing with Legends of the Field on January 15th. Items have to be dropped off to Legends by Jan. 8th. The details are on legendsofthefield.com . Legends is bringing in some great current and former players as of late. ----- Continued from: viewtopic.php?p=472389#p472389 Original Lead: viewtopic.php?f=68&t=2845
  9. Legends of the Field and Waukesha Sports cards are doing a Paul Molitor signing January 10th . Also Wauksha has a signing with former Brewer Sixto Lezcano January 31st as well.
  10. I doubt it unless their deadhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  11. Also don't forget Legends of the Field will have a public signing with Robin Yount Saturday November 8th at their Gurnee Mills location. Tickets are on sale now at legendsofthefield.com or call 847-855-2000.
  12. Pete Vuckovich (Brewers) 1982 AL CY Young Award Winner Over 25 years in the making, Legends of the Field Presents An Exclusive Opportunity of a Lifetime. The Toughest Autograph in Brewers History IS Finally a Reality. It's Now Finally Time To Complete Your Team Signed Pieces. Location: Legends of the Field Gallery 814 Rose Drive Hartland, WI 53072
  13. I went to the Corey Hart signing at Legends of the Field in Delafield yesterday and it was really busy. Prices at Legends seemed to be affordable for the most part and they had a good selection of items to get get signed. I got a pink bat for $35 bucks and a 8x10 with Corey holding it signed as well. Very cool!
  14. Looks like the Brewers are looking at Mark Kotsay. He would be a nice addition. http://www.prosportsdaily...-in-doubt-08-26-2008.html
  15. Sign me up for Burnett and while your at it Scott Rollen. I like your prospect package but would also be willing to throw in Bill Hall to get it done.
  16. Here is a trade idea I thought may work for the Bucks. I'm not sure if this works but take a look and tell me what you think. Bucks trade CV + their 1st pick #8 to the T-wolves for the #3 pick. This has been rumored already I know. Then we trade the T-wolves pick #3 we just got and Redd + Yi to the Miami Heat for D wade and the #2 pick. I think the heat would move down one pick and take Mayo. I'm not sure if this would work salary cap wise but I thought it would be fair to all teams invloved. I could live with that athletic line-up. Bucks line-up: Bogut - C Beasley - PF Mason - SF Wade - SG Sessions - PG
  17. My bad, well maybe Sheets for Chamberlain or Hughes could work.
  18. After Sheets went down with another injury it got me thinking what we could get for the guy in the off-season. I have always been a big Sheets supporter but think I have had my fill. I also think Bill Hall straight up for Abreu would be almost even swap with Hall being younger and with more upside. Abreu gives us a player that has experience and can also protect Fielder in the line-up. If you have a better proposal let me know, even if it's for another player on the Yankees or even another team for the matter. I'm not even sure if my proposal would work with the Brewers budget or if the salaries would match up, but what the heck. Yankees get: Ben Sheets Bill Hall Zack Jackson Brewers get: Bobby Abreu Joba Chamberlain or Phil Hughes ....Take your pick Reliever maybe Kyle Farnsworth
  19. I heard awhile back that a group in Kenosha had interest in bringing a Brewers single A team to town. The places they were looking at for a stadium were at Simmons Field (formerly the home of the Kenosha Twins a single A team for the Twins). but they would have to drop some decent cash to to fix it up. They were also looking at a location on I-94 between Racine and Kenosha. Both Kenosha and Racine are two well popultated areas and close enough to Milwaukee to draw very well.
  20. Morgan Ensberg has been designated for assigmnet by the Astros. They now have 10 days to trade or release him as the Astros have already stated they will not expect him to accept a minor league assignment. This is according to the Houston Astros offcial website. I guess this makes sense, since they just acquired Ty from the D-rays. Maybe the Brewers could give Ensberg a look, it should cost little to nothing to acquire him. He would be a nice back-up for third and first for us.
  21. What better player to help us keep the Cubs off are back than Sammy Sosa. He is not playing to bad this year and would give us a motivated (to stick it to the Cubs) power name batting behind Prince. I'am not a huge Sosa fan, but it would be great to see one of the biggest Cubs legend's in the past 20 years help the Brewers knock the Cubbies out of the race in the central. I'am sure we could get him for next to nothing. What do you think?
  22. My former college roomate lives in Atlanta. He listens to 790 the zone in Atlanta and heard the Braves inquired about Dave Bush for Saltalamacchia . The host Steak Shapiro also mentioned the Braves were talking to other teams as well for starting pitching.
  23. I just read on Rotoworld that the Brewers could be one of the teams at the trade deadline looking to deal for Morgan Ensberg. I could see them doing this deal as their big trade for the strech run. I dont think it would be a bad pick up and would give Braun more time to master his craft with the Sounds. go to Rotoworld, look in strike zone under Houston. or here is the link www.rotoworld.com/content...leid=28184
  24. I just read a article on realgm.com that Jorge Cantu will be out looking for a job very soon. Would he be a good fit for the Brewers at 3rd base? I would give him a shot. He is still very young and is just one year removed from a big year, 28 HRS and 117 RBI.
  25. Here is a option to acquire a young arm for Turnbow. I think that we would have a younger and less expensive option in Turnbow then the Giants would be offering in Benitez. From what I have heard about Petit he has a high upside and is only 22 yrs. old. I cant say I know everything about Petit so any insight would be appreciated Here is the article from RealGM.com ? Giants closer Armando Benitez, 34, has been the Marlins' No. 1 bullpen target, and a trade remains possible. The Giants appear willing to cover all but $1 million to $2 million of his $7.6 million salary. But the Giants want a Marlins starter or top reliever ( Taylor Tankersley), and the Marlins won't do that. The Marlins might be willing to give up Yusmeiro Petit or Sergio Mitre. Benitez, who saved a Marlins-record 47 games in 2004, comes off knee surgery but will be ready for spring training, his agent said
